The National Construction Equipment Convention (NCEC) is the civil construction and infrastructure industry’s new must-attend event, detailing the biggest opportunities and latest equipment in the sector.
Australia is currently in an infrastructure boom.
The Australian Construction Industry Forum (ACIF) expects the value of construction work to rise from $52.986 billion in the 2015/16 financial year, to more than $54 billion in 2016/17, 2017/18 and 2018/19.
And there is no sign of slowing down. With all this growth, it’s essential to bring the industry together to update everyone on what’s next, where the growth areas are, what you can do to reduce costs and increase efficiencies, and what new products and technologies are available.
NCEC is the place to get this industry update and network with the main players in the space.

The exhibition will feature more than 100 major brands such as Komatsu, Caterpillar, PlanGrid, Firestorm, Civil Safety Products and many more, who will showcase what’s new in civil innovations.
The Tech Show Zone:
The Tech Show Zone is an area on the exhibition floor exploring the latest technologies and digital solutions available to the civil construction and infrastructure industry. It features seminars that will look at technologies such as drones, productivity apps, autonomous control and robotic tech, virtual reality in pre-construction, and more.
The Tech Show Zone is divided into three components:
- The worksite of the future
- The jobs of the future
- The infrastructure of the future
Attendees will gain exposure to a range of new and emerging technologies and leave with a deeper understanding of infrastructure-enhancing materials; safety and productivity breakthroughs; inventive wearables; and the ‘smart’ worksites of the future.
